Why Talamh.
Before Studio Talamh became the name of a creative studio, it was simply a word that stayed with me.
Talamh is the Gaelic word for earth.
Not the earth we own.
The one we belong to.
The quiet foundation beneath every beginning.
The place where ideas take root, where things grow with time, and where everything eventually returns.
We live in a world that constantly encourages us to move faster.
To create more.
To publish more.
To be seen more.
Yet the things that truly endure rarely begin in a hurry.
They begin with roots.
With patience.
With quiet foundations.
With a clear sense of purpose.
I've always believed meaningful work begins the same way.
Not by chasing attention.
But by building something honest enough to last.
Something coherent enough to grow.
Something simple enough to remain true over time.
Long before there were brands, websites or strategies...
There was the ground beneath our feet.
Silent.
Patient.
Constant.
Something that existed long before us, and will remain long after us.
I find that deeply reassuring.
It reminds me that not everything has to be invented.
Sometimes the best direction is simply a return to what matters most.
Studio Talamh was built on that belief.
That strong foundations create lasting work.
That clarity is more valuable than complexity.
That growth follows coherence.
And that every meaningful project deserves a place where it can truly take root.
Perhaps that's what Talamh has always meant to me.
